Vision and proposals of the Red Puentes Network regarding Corporate Social Responsibility in Latin America.
The Red Puentes’s mission is to promote the development of a culture of social responsibility among Latin American corporations. The development of a socially responsible culture and the practices that accompany such a culture must be based upon the perspective, visions, rights and needs of the civil societies in which the corporations operate. In the spirit of fulfilling this mission, the Red Puentes network is contributing the following document to be used in for reflecting upon, dialoguing over and acting on the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR). This initiative responds to the challenge of creating a conception of CSR and designing instruments for CSR that are appropriate for the particular conditions characterizing Latin American countries. The effort is aimed at citizen organizations in each country contributing to the development of a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility and various initiatives in this area.
